Bayer Offered $62 Billion For Monsanto

A multi-national German drugs and chemicals company named Bayer offered US seeds company to buy for $62 billion to become the worlds biggest suppliers in agriculture. Demand per share of Monsanto is for $122 per share in cash.

Bayer had made an unwanted  takeover offer for this group which was disclosed earlier by Monsanto which triggered a German investor and major shareholder in a drug company to call this act as an "arrogant empire-building".

Monsanto's buyers are reviewing the proposal of Bayers as the offer is 15.8 times of its 12 months earnings without including tax, interest, amortization and depreciation (EBITDA) as of Feb 29. Bayer has aimed to become the biggest firm globally in the farm input covering both seeds and agro-chemical.
